Jason Probstein

 

Jason Probstein is one of our artists affected directly by Hurricane Helene. He survived, as did his house and studio (although it will be awhile before they have water), but his community is ravaged, as well as his local income streams provided by tourism. We are supporting him as he recovers and hope you can too.

 

Jason is known for creating traditional lampworked glass, but also likes to push the boundaries a little. He received a degree in scientific glassblowing from Salem Community College in New Jersey and has studied Venetian glass techniques at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. He makes his home in Asheville, NC.
