Horsehair fired platter made by Nolan Windoltz of Round Tree Pottery. He makes his home in Florida.

The horsehair is applied when the pottery is crazy hot. You can see the curling burn marks that makes each piece unique. Then a red stain is applied to the unglazed areas. The result is striking and dramatic.
